This standard specifies ゛JIS K 8680 Toluene (Reagent)，゛ but it is being revised to enhance the standard's content in light of recent production and usage conditions. The main revisions are as follows: a) Properties (5.1) The description of properties has been changed from ゛Very soluble in ethanol and diethyl ether゛ to ゛Very miscible in ethanol (99.5%) and diethyl ether.゛ b) Purity C6H5CH3)(GC) (7.2) In the test method for purity C6H5CH3)(GC)， the gas chromatography conditions have been changed， and the separation conditions for the alternative measurement conditions now include separation from benzene and ethylbenzene. Furthermore， regarding the carrier gas， nitrogen gas has been added due to concerns about the supply of helium gas. c) Moisture Content (7.5) Coulometric titration has been added as a test method for moisture content measurement. d) Sulfur compounds (as S) (7.8) X-ray fluorescence analysis was added to the test methods for sulfur compounds (as S). |
