| Objective |
This standard specifies magnesium sulfate heptahydrate for use as a reagent. However， in light of recent production and usage conditions， this standard is being revised to enhance its content. The main revisions are as follows: -In the properties section， ゛゛colorless crystals゛゛ is changed to ゛゛white crystalline powder，゛゛ and the following is added: ゛゛It effloresides and ignites in dry air， gradually forming hexahydrate.゛゛ -In the quality section， phosphate (PO4) is removed from the standard items， and the purity (MgSO4･7H2O) standard value is changed to ゛゛98.0% to 102.0%.゛゛ - As test methods， ゛゛calcium (Ca) and zinc (Zn)゛゛ and ゛゛manganese (Mn)， lead (Pb)， and iron (Fe)゛゛ are added， and the test method is changed to atomic absorption spectrometry. - For iron (Fe)， colorimetric analysis is abolished and changed to atomic absorption spectrometry. |
