| Objective |
This standard specifies magnesium sulfate heptahydrate for use as a reagent. However, in light of recent production and usage conditions, this standard is being revised to enhance its content. The main revisions are as follows: -In the properties section, ゛゛colorless crystals゛゛ is changed to ゛゛white crystalline powder,゛゛ and the following is added: ゛゛It effloresides and ignites in dry air, gradually forming hexahydrate.゛゛ -In the quality section, phosphate (PO4) is removed from the standard items, and the purity (MgSO4・7H2O) standard value is changed to ゛゛98.0% to 102.0%.゛゛ - As test methods, ゛゛calcium (Ca) and zinc (Zn)゛゛ and ゛゛manganese (Mn), lead (Pb), and iron (Fe)゛゛ are added, and the test method is changed to atomic absorption spectrometry. - For iron (Fe), colorimetric analysis is abolished and changed to atomic absorption spectrometry. |
