| Objective |
This standard specifies a framework for the quality evaluation of ICT (information and communications technology) products (including software products)， data， and IT services (including its concepts， requirements， and recommendations for implementation and enhancement processes). This standard is being revised to enhance the content of the standard in light of recent production and use practices. The main revisions are as follows: - Alignment with other SQuaRE sector standards in terms of quality management， quality models， quality measurements， and quality requirements. - Alignment with other standards in terms of system and/or software lifecycle processes and requirements engineering processes. - Expansion of the target entities from software to include ICT (information and communications technology) products， data， and IT services. - Expansion of the types of quality evaluation from only conformance to requirements to four: quality evaluation for conformance to a specific situation of use， quality evaluation for qualification to a quality standard， quality evaluation for confirming the fulfillment of requirements， and quality evaluation for suitability for the market. - Revise the concept of quality evaluation to a clearer concept. - Providing more practical guidance for planning quality assessments. |
