| Objective |
This standard provides guidance on software maintenance based on the maintenance processes and their activities and tasks defined in JIS X 0160:2021, subsection 6.4.13. However, revisions are being made to enhance the content of the standard in light of recent production and usage realities. The main revisions are as follows: - In the terms, definitions, and guidance, a new ゛additive maintenance゛ has been added to the previous maintenance classification types of ゛corrective maintenance,゛ ゛preventive maintenance,゛ ゛adaptive maintenance,゛ and ゛perfective maintenance,゛ bringing the total to five maintenance types to reflect trends in software maintenance. - In the maintenance process, the review of maintenance requirements (requirements) and maintenance measurement have been added, and the content of problem analysis and correction analysis has been expanded. - Guidance has been provided to support maintenance by improving software maintainability in many technical processes other than the maintenance process. - Expanded the content of software retirement, which is sometimes used in the transition between old and new software during maintenance. - Added a maintenance plan that details the maintenance strategy. |
