This standard specifies magnesium alloy die-casting, but revisions are being made to enhance the content of the standard in light of recent production and usage trends. The main revisions are as follows: - For type and type symbols, new symbols will be established in line with market conditions in Japan, and four new types of magnesium alloy ingots for die-casting will be added, as follows: - High heat-resistant, high thermal conductivity, and flame-retardant alloy. For automobile and motorcycle parts. - High toughness, flame-retardant alloy. For automobile wheels. - High thermal conductivity, flame-retardant alloy. For automobile parts. - High heat-resistant, flame-retardant alloy. For automobile engine parts. - For chemical composition, in conjunction with the addition of alloy types, the chemical compositions of new alloy types will be added in line with market conditions in Japan. |
