Objective	This standard， which specifies power electric double-layer capacitors as a product-specific general specification based on JIS C 5160-1， is being revised to enhance the standard's content in light of recent production and usage trends. The main revisions are as follows: - The standard title will be changed from ゛For Electronic Equipment゛ to ゛For Electrical and Electronic Equipment゛ to reflect the changes in the product-specific general specification JIS C 5160-1. - The new SS clause structure will be adopted as specified by TC40 (see IEC 62391-2 Annex X). - The upper category temperature for testing will be changed from ゛+60°C or +70°C゛ to ゛+60°C or +70°C unless otherwise agreed upon between the parties involved゛ to accommodate the expansion of the rated upper temperature limit due to the increased heat resistance of these capacitors. - The parent standard JIS C 5160-1 (General provisions by item) cited in this standard has had its clause numbers and sub-clause numbers changed due to a review of the standard structure， and this standard will also be revised to reflect the changes in the parent standard.
