| Objective |
This standard specifies type 1 surface-mount fixed multilayer ceramic capacitors for use in electronic equipment. This standard is being revised to enhance the content of the standard in light of recent trends in production and use. The main revisions are as follows: - Regarding the temperature characteristics of capacitance， the EIA standard's requirements for a reference temperature of 25°C have been added to the table of requirements for final inspection after various tests， such as dielectric dissipation factor， soldering heat resistance test， and sudden temperature change test. In addition， the EIA standard's temperature coefficient and tolerance requirements for a reference temperature of 25°C have been newly added to the appendix. - In the ゛visual inspection゛ section of the ゛test and measurement methods゛ section， a provision has been added regarding the inspection of extremely small capacitors， and a provision has been added stating that these additional provisions apply to the test procedures for each test [printed board bend resistance， soldering heat resistance， solderability， continuous weathering resistance， high-temperature and high-humidity (steady-state)， and durability]. - In the printed board bend resistance test， a provision has been added for the bend depth D for capacitors designed for ultra-robustness. |
