| Objective |
This standard specifies type 1 surface-mount fixed multilayer ceramic capacitors for use in electronic equipment. This standard is being revised to enhance the content of the standard in light of recent trends in production and use. The main revisions are as follows: - The EIA standard categories ゛C0G゛ and ゛U2J゛ will be added to the table of requirements for final inspection after various tests， such as those for dielectric tangent， capacitance due to temperature cycle， and soldering heat resistance， to represent the nominal temperature coefficient and temperature coefficient tolerance of the temperature characteristics. In addition， new requirements for temperature coefficient and tolerance for the EIA standard reference temperature of 25°C will be added to the appendix. - In the ゛visual inspection゛ section of the ゛test and measurement methods゛ section， a provision regarding the inspection of extremely small capacitors will be added， and a provision will be added stating that these additional provisions apply to the test procedures for each test: print board bend resistance， soldering heat resistance， solderability， continuous weathering， high-temperature and high-humidity (steady-state)， and durability. - In the blind plate bending test， a specification for bending depth D is added for capacitors designed for ultra-robustness. |
