This standard specifies the dimensions of female-threaded spherical rod eyes in accessory fittings used with 1 MPa series pneumatic cylinders specified in JIS B 8368-1 to JIS B 8368-3. It was revised in 2013 based on ISO 8139 [Pneumatic fluid power — Cylinders， 1 000 kPa (10 bar) series — Mounting dimensions of rod-end spherical eyes]， which was revised in 2009. However， JIS B 8368-1 [Mounting dimensions of pneumatic cylinders — Part 1: Single rod — 1 MPa series — Square cover type — Tie rod tightening (fixed mounting fitting) type (inner diameter 32 mm to 250 mm)]， which is a referenced standard and listed in the scope of application， has been discontinued， and this required an addendum. The corresponding international standard was revised in 2018， and ISO 6430， the corresponding international standard for JIS B 8368-1， was no longer cited at that time. Furthermore， as the other revisions already correspond to the revisions in the corresponding international standards， it is not believed necessary to revise the JIS to match them. Furthermore， as a result of this revision， the scope of application will be consistent with the 2018 editions of the corresponding international standards. The main revisions are as follows: - In terms of the scope of application， ゛JIS B 8368-1 to JIS B 8368-3゛ will be replaced with ゛JIS B 8368-2 and JIS B 8368-3.゛ |
