Standard title | Measurement of DC magnetic, AC magnetic and AC electric fields from 1 Hz to 100 kHz with regard to exposure of human beings - Part 1: Requirements for measuring instruments |
Objective |
This standard specifies requirements for measuring instruments for DC magnetic fields and AC magnetic and electric fields in the 1 Hz to 100 kHz range, taking into account human exposure. However, revisions have been made primarily to reflect revisions to referenced standards related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The main revisions are as follows: - Regarding the requirements for radiated electromagnetic fields [5.9.1 c)] in electromagnetic compatibility (5.9), the previous standard specified test levels in this standard, but this will be revised to apply JIS C 61000-6-1:2019, the common EMC standard applicable to residential, commercial, and light industrial environments. It will also be stipulated that measuring instruments intended for use in industrial environments should be subject to JIS C 61000-6-2:2019, the common EMC standard applicable to industrial environments. - Regarding the requirements for radiated disturbances [5.9.2 c)] in electromagnetic compatibility (5.9), the previous standard covered radiated disturbances from measuring instruments with devices operating at frequencies above 9 kHz. However, following the revision of the cited CISPR 11, the standard will be changed to cover radiated disturbances from measuring instruments with devices operating at frequencies above 30 MHz and below 1 GHz. |
