| Standard title | High frequency inductive components - Electrical characteristics and measuring methods - Part 1: Nanohenry range chip inductor |
| Objective |
This standard specifies the electrical characteristics and measurement methods for surface-mount inductors (hereinafter referred to as ゛inductors゛) in the nanohenry range used in the high-frequency range (frequencies above 100 kHz). This standard is being revised to enhance the content of the standard in light of recent production and usage trends. The main revisions are as follows: The following test and installation methods have been added: a) S-parameter measurement has been added; b) Inductance, Q-factor, and inductor impedance have been added using the reflection coefficient method with a network analyzer; c) Measurement of inductor resonant frequency has been added using a two-port network analyzer; d) Installation methods for surface-mount inductors using Pb-free solder have been added. |
