This technical report is a report on the measurement results of a preliminary investigation into the ESR/ESL of resin-coated or molded SMD (surface mount device) rectangular capacitors (multilayer ceramic, conductive polymer tantalum electrolytic/aluminum electrolytic, etc.) with a capacitance of 10 μF to 1000 μF, a self-resonant frequency of 1 MHz or less, external dimensions of 3.2 mm x 1.6 mm to 7.3 mm x 4.3 mm, an ESR of 20 mΩ or less, and an ESL of 5 nH or less, as well as the verification of these results in round robin tests conducted by various companies based on the results of that investigation.More
